footwork, volleys, serving, scoring, and basic

to deliver world-class programs that enrich
children’s lives and teach fundamental skills while

Team Requests
In U6 and U8 divisions only, parents may request
placement with one other player registered in
the same division. The request must be mutual
(the player being requested must also make the
request) and must be made on the youth sports
registration form. Requests are not accepted
after player ratings. For U10 through U19
divisions, teams are formed through the player
rating system only.
Volunteer Coaches
The City of Henderson requires all of its
volunteer coaches to be National Youth Sports
Coaches Association (NYSCA) certified and to
complete a background check. Training sessions
are offered during each youth sports season.
Coaches are encouraged to register online at
cityofhenderson.com and search “volunteer
coach.”
Winter Basketball
The City of Henderson’s youth leagues are
designed to guide each participant through
an organized program and to develop the
fundamental skills of the game while emphasizing
enjoyment and good sportsmanship.
