HENDERSON SWIM
ACADEMY
Henderson Swim Academy teaches participants
how to swim skillfully and safely. Instructors are
thoroughly trained in water safety so swimmers of
all ages and abilities are in good hands. Courses
are fun and interactive with hands-on training. All
classes are 40 minutes in length.
Water Safety Swim Clinic
This parent and child course introduces the core
competencies by providing instruction to the
parent/guardian about how to establish and aid
with water readiness while focusing on self-rescue
water safety concepts. The purpose of this
course is to develop a high comfort level in the
water, readiness to swim using self-rescue skills
and water safety concepts in very young children,
while training adults in water safety and drowning
prevention. This clinic will not include stroke
refinement skills or advanced swimming.

Fun Instructed Novice (FIN) Swim
We will assist novice swimmers to improve their
skills through stroke development and endurance
in an upbeat recreational team environment.
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of each
competitive stroke to participate in the program.

Private Lessons
A trained instructor leads four 30-minute, one-on-
one lessons customized to meet the needs of
infants, children, adults, and seniors. Minimum
age is 6 mos. Children 3 years and under may be
required to be accompanied by a parent/guardian
in the water. Private lessons fill quickly, so early
registration is recommended. Missed lessons are
not rescheduled; all refund polices apply.

RECREATIONAL
TEAMS
Recreational Diving
Springboard diving students learn the basic
techniques, proper approach, hurdle, rotation,
and entry of five required dives. Intermediate and
advanced divers must know proper approach,
hurdle, front dive, and entry. Participants must
be able to swim 25 yards and easily tread water.
Safety techniques are a priority. The instructor is
USA Diving safety certified and a former UNLV
coach. Drop in $6.50.

This swim team supports young swimmers

potential. The team trains and develops every

Team Vegas/Henderson Water Polo
This water polo club is designed to expose athletes
of all ages to the game. Players receive instruction
and training that allows them to start and continue
their development of water polo skills. The club
also helps guide players into college careers.
Tryouts are held for each new athlete before
practice and are required prior to registering. For

Rowing Team
Lake Las Vegas Rowing Club teaches athletes
the Olympic and collegiate sport of rowing. There
are two divisions, junior (ages 13-18) and adult
(21+). Train for competitions in Nevada, California
and Arizona and compete for admission to and
scholarships at over 145 colleges and universities.

The Dragonboat Racing Association Group of
