The Mayor is pleased to issue official proclamations that commemorate a specific time period (day, week, or month) to raise awareness about issues, recognize industries, or celebrate milestones with significance to the City of Henderson.

Criteria

• A proclamation issued by the Mayor recognizes a day, week, month, or year to honor or highlight an issue, project, cause, or program.
• Proclamations are issued once per calendar year.
• Proclamation requests should include four to six suggested "Whereas" clauses with specific information about that cause or issue.  SAMPLE
• If you include statistics in a proclamation request, please include a link to a credible source that is supported by evidence. A proclamation request may be denied if references are not included. Include reference language such as, “according to …”
• Once issued by the Mayor, a proclamation may not be altered.
