Media Public Record Request

If you are a member of the news media and would like an official record from the City, please complete a MEDIA RECORDS REQUEST.

Request Traffic Accident Reports

You may request a closed traffic accident report here.

Accidents that are under investigation will not be available until the investigation is complete and the case is closed. 

Request Police Reports

You may request a police report here. Please call 702-267-4700 to confirm the report is available for dissemination prior to appearing in person. Juvenile criminal information is deemed confidential and cannot be released.

Per AB 193 victims of Domestic Battery and/or Sexual Assault will be provided a copy of their police report free of charge.

When requesting a police report, please have the following information available:

• Report number (for example: 25-12345)
• Your name
• Type of incident
• Involved person's name(s)
• Date and time of incident
• Address or location of incident

Request Local Background Checks

You may request a local background check here.

When requesting a background check, please have the following information available:

• A valid U.S. Government issued photo identification is required to obtain a local SCOPE background.
• A third party may obtain a background check on behalf of another person if a notarized release from the individual accompanies their request. 
• An FBI Background Check may be obtained by clicking here

Fees

We accept the following forms of payment: Credit cards (no Amex), personal check, cash or money orders.

• Criminal/Non-Criminal Reports (Per Report): $10
• Traffic Reports (Per-Report): $10 
• Background Check (Per Background): $10
