Complete Initial Registration

All participants of a youth program are REQUIRED to have a completed set of participation forms. 

• Parents/Guardians are required to complete new forms each school year.
• Only one registration packet will be accepted per participant.
• All forms are sent and submitted electronically via DocuSign.
• Parent/guardian will have an opportunity to include additional parents/guardians if desired.
  • Please note that if an additional household is included, the registration form cannot be processed until both parties have signed and completed all paperwork. 

Once paperwork has been completed and submitted electronically by the parent/guardian and processed by the Parks and Recreation Department, an annual registration charge of $10 is placed on your City of Henderson account.

Early Childhood Education Scholarship Program

Scholarship assistance from the City of Henderson Redevelopment Agency Public Education Set Aside Fund is available to fund 50% of the preschool enrollment costs on a per student, per semester increment.

Camp No Limits

Join us for an exciting adventure with your favorite leaders from Adaptive Recreation & Inclusion Services! We’ll be exploring the beautiful valley and having a blast at the recreation center with a variety of fun activities designed for everyone.

Whether you prefer a morning of exploration, an afternoon of enjoyment, or an entire day filled with activities, we have options that fit your schedule! Choose to register for the morning only, the afternoon only, or join us for the full day. 

For those selecting the all-day option, please bring a lunch to keep your energy up!

Your registration includes essential services such as supervision, transportation, admission fees, and all necessary supplies. With limited spots available, be sure to secure your place early!

Camp H2Go

Camp H2Go is an exciting all-day aquatic camp where participants will dive into a variety of supervised activities, including water safety, youth lifeguarding, stroke development, water polo and artistic swimming. In addition to aquatic fun, campers will enjoy field trips to neighboring pools, outdoor sports, team-building exercises and creative activities.

• To participate, campers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted and feel comfortable in deep water.
• Campers should bring proper swim attire, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a towel, lunch, a water bottle and plenty of snacks each day to ensure they’re ready for all the fun and activities!
• A late pickup fee of $10 will be charged for every 10 minutes past the designated pickup time.

L.E.T.S. Guard

Calling all Henderson teens! Dive into summer with L.E.T.S. (Leadership, Excellence, Teamwork, Shadowing) Guard, where you’ll grow as a leader, sharpen communication skills and discover what it takes to be an aquatic and recreation leader. Through hands-on learning, you will gain confidence and responsibility as you prepare for future leadership opportunities. Pick up your application at any Henderson aquatics location. 

• This program is a job shadowing opportunity; as such, participants are not required to come to every day of the program. Participants will get experience making their schedules, submitting time off and working with staff to communicate their needs.  
• L.E.T.S. Guard participants will get to interact and assist in all areas of an aquatic environment including lifeguarding, swimming lesson instruction, aquatic camp, aquatic fitness, front desk, management and more.
• Participants are eligible to receive a StarGuard Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and earn volunteer hours that will be awarded at the completion of the program.

Junior Naturalist Day Camp 

This day camp is full of nature, friendship and fun. Each week has a different theme and will incorporate games, crafts, and enjoy hands-on activities all while learning about nature.

Tiny Tots Adventurers 

Knight School Chess Academy Camp

Chess camp is a great way for kids to keep their minds sharp over the summer! Participants experience a high-energy environment that celebrates a new chess tactic each day through fun videos, music-driven puzzles with prizes, colorful Tactix Bands and fast-paced tournaments. With plenty of laughter and engaging teaching, this camp is a summertime favorite for kids. If you sign up for the all-day camp, please remember to bring a lunch! 

Teen Rec Connections

Teen Rec Connections offers a dynamic, all-day summer program for middle school students. Teens will enjoy a variety of supervised activities such as fitness, arts, music, swimming, field trips and more. With fun and enriching experiences every day, early registration is recommended as space fills up quickly!

Program Details

The program runs concurrently with the Clark County School District’s break calendar. The program is held from 7am-6pm weekdays at select recreation centers. Participants must be 12-14 years old. 

Teen Travels

Are you looking for something unique and exciting to do this summer? Join Teen Travels, where the action awaits! This program helps preteens and teens build self-confidence and develop positive decision-making skills while making new friends.

Program Details

This entirely field trip-based program takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer, with varying hours. Teen Travels is open for youth ages 12 to 14 years old.

Payment in full is required on or before the Wednesday prior to each week the child is scheduled to participate.

Please note that space is limited to the first 20 participants for each field trip and parents must register in advance for each outing.

Teen WORK (willing, optimistic, respectful, kind) is a junior leader program that trains teens to become future recreation leaders. Participants provide assistance to the summer Battle Born Kids program.

Children in Kindergarten - Fifth Grade.

Registration

• Register in advance for any week with a 10% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit per child per week.

• After your deposit is made, the remaining balance is due on or before the Wednesday prior to each week the child is scheduled to participate.

• Payments can be made online by 11:59pm or at any recreation center/indoor pool during regular business hours.

• If there is availability after the Wednesday of the prior week, you may register online and pay in full by Friday at 6:00pm.

• You may contact the BBK site directly on Monday mornings to inquire about open availability of that week.

• Government-issued ID is required for drop-off and pick up.

Weekly Pricing 

Please ensure that you register in advance, as space is limited and may not be available on the day of.

• Two siblings $224.40
• Three or more siblings $330.40
• Drop-in days available, pending space for $27

Children must be from the same immediate family to receive the sibling discount.

Parent Orientation

Swim Tests

All participants enrolled in Battle Born Kids that would like to swim on the designated swim days are encouraged to complete a swim test prior to the first swim day.  Swim tests will be available during Battle Born Kids Open House. Those enrolled in a Henderson Swim Academy swim lesson may qualify as swim fit at the end of class. Swim tests consist of the participant being able to jump in the water, swim half of the pool lane length unassisted (15 yards), turn around, swim back to the wall, and climb out of the pool. Any swimmer who is unable to complete this test independently will be required to wear a lifejacket while at the pool during swim times and will not be permitted to use the slide amenities. Swim tests are designed to keep participants safe, therefore if staff feel the participant is struggling to swim independently, they may be required to retest.

Meals 

Lunch will be provided by our food service partner, Three Square. Snacks are not provided. Please provide a healthy lunch, snack, and water bottle for your child every day if they decide not to eat what is provided.

Safekey is an exciting enrichment program offered at all Henderson elementary schools. While you're at work, your child will enjoy a variety of engaging activities like arts and crafts, games, themed projects, nutritious snacks, and dedicated homework time.

Teen Scene

Teen Scene is the perfect after-school hangout for 6th through 8th graders, offering a safe, supervised space where they can relax, connect with friends, and explore new interests. Designed with busy parents in mind, the program includes arts and crafts, sports, nutritious snacks, homework help, exciting field trips, and special events.

Safekey & Teen Scene follow the Clark County School District calendar and bell times. Program start and end times vary based on individual school bell times. Contact the Youth Enrichment office in advance for more information or to confirm start/end times.

Safekey & Teen Scene provides milk by way of the USDA Special Milk Program through a grant from the Nevada Department of Education.

• Parents drop off begins at 6:45am or 7am
• Children are released at 8:45am or 9am to school

Whitney Hangout is an after-school leadership and recreation program designed exclusively for teens. Aligned with the CCSD school calendar, this membership-based program keeps teens active, safe, and engaged during the school year.

Each monthly membership includes after-school snacks, leadership workshops, creative activities like fitness, dance, and arts & crafts, plus awesome special events.
