The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department has established the Henderson Arts Advisory Commission to advise and make recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Department and City Council for the promotion, creation, and support of City Arts programs, including performing arts, literary arts, and public arts education.

City ordinance 4028 was adopted on June 4, 2024 enacting the Henderson Arts Advisory Commission in accordance to Henderson Municipal Code 2.50. 

City ordinance 4040 was adopted on October 1, 2024 to increase the number of members from 7 to 11.

Meetings

Regular meetings of the Henderson Arts Advisory Commission shall be held every other month throughout the year. Commission year starts in July in concert with the fiscal year for the department. Regular meetings will typically be held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the location identified in the prepared agenda.
