Born in America's defense during World War II, the City of Henderson continues to honor its war born heritage. On November 11, 1994, the City officials dedicated the only Veterans Memorial Wall in Southern Nevada, honoring those that have fought for our country to protect the threads of freedom and democracy that are woven into the fabric of American patriotism.

Originally inscribed with 1,213 names, the wall today bears more than 1,900 veterans and soldiers that have served our country, standing adjacent to Henderson City Hall. The Wall honors deceased veterans that lived in Henderson prior to 1980, all Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War and Global War on Terror veterans either living or deceased who were Henderson residents at the time of their service, and soldiers killed in action living in Henderson from 1980 to present.

For those who would like to be considered or have someone considered for inclusion on the Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall based upon eligibility, please complete this request form.

Veterans must have been a Henderson resident during a period of their service in order to be eligible to have their name included on our Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall. 

We are actively accepting applications until September 25, 2026 to be recognized during our annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 7, 2026.
