How the City Prepares

The City of Henderson proactively prepares for emergencies, and you should too!

Every year, we conduct several risk analyses and create mitigation plans to ensure we are ready and have the necessary resources for various hazards and emergencies.

The purpose of the Division of Emergency Preparedness (DEP) is to inform and educate residents and stakeholders in the City of Henderson about potential hazards that may affect them and the actions that individuals, households, businesses, organizations, and communities can take to be better prepared for disasters.
