About this Project
In partnership with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, we are conducting the Lake Mead Parkway Corridor Study to improve safety, mobility and quality of life along Lake Mead Parkway from the Interstate 11 (I-11) Interchange to Lorin C. Williams Parkway.
This study will examine design options to improve safety and mobility for all users along the corridor, while continuing to meet vehicular travel needs. The study will also assess the needs, opportunities, costs and benefits of safe walking, biking and transit improvements that strengthen community access and connections.
Lake Mead Parkway is a key east–west route connecting neighborhoods, schools, jobs, healthcare, shopping, and recreation. While the corridor has historically been designed primarily for vehicles, continued growth means more people are walking, biking or using transit. For many community members, these are essential, not optional, ways to get around. This study will identify long-term solutions that improve comfort and safety, manage corridor demand, strengthen community connections, and expand accessible transportation options so people of all ages, abilities, and incomes can travel safely and reliably.
