The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The program is to expand economic opportunities, ensure decent housing, and provide a suitable living environment for citizens.

• Henderson receives a direct allocation of CDBG funding annually from HUD.
• Each year, starting September or early October, the city begins a new application cycle for CDBG project funding.
• Projects recommended for funding are included in the "One-Year Action Plan."
