Professional Biography:
Alyssa Rodriguez was named Assistant City Manager for the City of Henderson in July 2024. She previously served as the City of Henderson’s Director of Information Technology since January 2020. It was there she led our technology infrastructure, applications and assets, including transforming Henderson into a smart City by utilizing data analytics, optimizing transportation systems, and enhancing energy conservation. She also spearheaded Quality Education projects to provide digital learning tools to local students to ensure students have access to Wi-Fi and earned the 2023 Top Tech's Community Exemplary Award from VEGAS INC and Cox Business.
Alyssa started at Henderson in 2008 as a project engineer following several years as an engineering consultant. She has also held roles as the City Traffic Engineer and the Assistant Director of Public works. Recent work in transportation technology and a passion for smart cities led to the transfer to information technology.
Following many years of volunteer activity, Alyssa was elected as the 2021 International President of ITE, a community of over 16,000 transportation professionals. A proud Montana State University (MSU) Bobcat, Alyssa received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from MSU and volunteered with the Alumni Foundation.
