If you have a valid Nevada's Driver's License or photo ID card, you may register to vote, update your address and change your political party affiliation online with the Nevada Secretary of State's Office.

 What are the registration requirements?

• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Be 18 years of age by Election Day (If you are now 17 years of age, you may “preregister.”)
• Be a Clark County resident for 30 consecutive days and a resident of your precinct for 10 days.
• No court of law has declared you to be mentally incompetent.
• Claim no other place as your legal residence.

By Mail

• If you have a printer, use Nevada Voter Registration Application.  After you complete the application online, print, and mail it to the Clark County Election Department at the address specified on the form.

How do I obtain a voter registration card?

You do NOT need to show your Voter Registration Card when you vote. You may vote whether or not you have it with you. But, having it handy will make the sign-in process easier. 

The Election Department will mail you a Voter Registration Card whenever:

• You submit a properly completed Voter Registration Application
• You update your registration data (change your name, address or party)
• The Clark County Election Department changes your polling place, precinct, or political districts

  If you do not receive your Card within two weeks after submitting a Voter Registration Application or updating your registration, or if you lose your card and would like another, please call the Clark County Election Department at 702-455-VOTE (8683) or send an e-mail to elinfo@ClarkCountyNV.gov.

Voter registration card will include:

• Name
• Residential address and mailing address (if different from residential address)
• Political party affiliation
• Precinct number
• Polling place location
• Political districts in which you are entitled to vote

To keep your voter registration current, you must re-register to vote if any of the following occurs:

• Change of address
• Change of name by marriage or other legal means

The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) is a federal law that, among other things, creates requirements for how states maintain voter registration lists. It requires list maintenance programs to be uniform and non-discriminatory and to incorporate specific safeguards to ensure no voter is disenfranchised ahead of an election.

Starting in 2022, Nevada began having all-mail ballot elections. All voters who are registered to vote no later than 14 days before Election Day will receive a mail ballot, unless they opt out.  To opt out, you must submit a “Mail Ballot written or online Preference Form” to request that you not receive a mail ballot. The Nevada Secretary of State will provide the online option and the Election Department will immediately receive the request.

Use the Mail Ballot Preference Form (to print, complete, and mail) to opt out of automatically receiving the mail ballot.  The Election Department must receive all requests no later than 60 days before Election Day.

 You may track the status of your mail ballot through the Nevada Secretary of State's Office.

If you prefer, you may choose to vote in person on a voting machine at any one of the many convenient early voting sites or Election Day vote centers, even if you receive a mail ballot. No matter where you live or what your precinct is, you may vote at any Clark County voting site you choose.

Voting Assistance & Accessibility Services
The City of Henderson offers a variety of services to help ensure voting is accessible for all voters.

Audio Voting for Voters with Visual Impairments
Accessible voting equipment with audio ballot capability is available at all Vote Centers, allowing voters who are blind or visually impaired to vote privately and independently while maintaining the secrecy of their ballot.

American Sign Language (ASL) Services
Henderson City Hall has been selected as one of four locations in Clark County to offer onsite American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter services during the 2026 Primary Election period.

Interpreters will be on-site, one day only, on Saturday, May 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Henderson City Hall, 240 S. Water Street.

ADA Concierge Voting Assistance
To better assist voters who may benefit from additional support, Henderson City Hall will offer designated ADA Concierge service dates with additional staff onsite to assist voters requiring accommodations or extra assistance.

Voters needing ADA accommodations are welcome to vote at any time during regular voting hours and are not limited to these designated service dates.

The United States is a diverse land with a government selected by the votes of its citizens. Federal law recognizes that many Americans rely heavily on languages other than English, and that they require information in minority languages in order to be informed voters and participate effectively in our representative democracy. Many provisions of federal law protect the voting rights of language minority Americans. Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act is the keystone. Congress has mandated language minority ballots in some jurisdictions since 1975, with the most recent changes in the method of determining which jurisdictions must provide language minority materials and information becoming law in 1992.

The Clark County Election Department needs Poll Workers for 2026.  The Election Department prefers employees who can work both the Primary and General elections with positions available both during the Early Voting periods and on Election Days. Workers who are fluent in Spanish, Filipino, or Mandarin are highly needed.

Primary Election:

• Early Voting – May 23 – June 5, 2026
• Election Day – June 9, 2026

General Election:

• Early Voting – Oct. 17 – Oct. 30, 2026
• Election Day – Nov. 3, 2026

Pay:

• Election Day poll workers receive a flat rate of $200 for the day.
• Early voting poll workers are paid $17 per hour.
• Workers who are required to attend training will receive $50 for the class.

Requirements:

All poll workers must meet all the requirements below.

• Be a registered voter in Clark County, NV, or be enrolled in high school and at least 16 years of age.
• Not be a candidate or a relative of a candidate for nomination or election in 2026.
• Not be a poll watcher or observer during any election you work.
• Successfully complete the Election Department’s training if required.
