Our City's Clerk's Office has been recognized with a National People's Choice Award for Kids Vote by the Elections Center! The Kids Vote campaign invited children to learn about the voting and election process in an engaging way by voting for their favorite flavor of ice cream. The People's Choice Award allows members of the National Association for Election Officials to have a direct say in which of their peers receive recognition for their outstanding efforts.

Our City Clerk's Office has been recognized with the National Beacon Award by the Elections Center for their work on Kids Vote! 

During the Presidential Preference Primary in February 2024 and the Primary Election in June 2024, local kids were invited to learn about the election process and vote for their favorite flavor of ice cream. 

The Beacon Award is given by the Election Center for embodying the organization’s principles and standards of conduct, it is a national award comprised of a committee of peers from across the country.

General Election Results

A total of 1,474 young voters cast their ballot during the General Election for their favorite ice cream flavor: Cookies & Cream!

Primary Election Results

A total of 359 young voters cast their ballot during the Primary Election for their favorite ice cream flavor. Cookies & Cream and Vanilla will be moving on to the General Election in November. 

Presidential Preference Primary Results

A total of 117 young voters cast their ballot during the PPP for their favorite ice cream flavor. Cookies & Cream, Chocolate, Vanilla and Bubble Gum will be moving on to the Primary Election in June.
