Clean Up Your Neighborhood
Community Development & Services has partnered with
Republic Services to provide 20-cubic-yard Dumpsters
for weekend cleanups. There is no charge for the
service, all we ask is that you distribute flyers, which we
provide, to your neighbors. For additional information,
Homeowners often don’t realize many home-based
projects, such as replacing a water heater, require
a building permit. By working with an expert code
official, do-it-yourselfers can take advantage of their
knowledge of building codes to ensure the project is
built right, will be safe and will last. If you aren’t sure
if your project requires a permit, call the Development
Services Center (DSC) at 702-267-3610. Permit
applications may be filled out online (cityofhenderson.
com, search “Permits and Plan Check”), but must be
submitted in person at the DSC.
