Henderson Traffic Collision Involving Motorcyclist Updated as a Fatality

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police responded to a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of northbound Boulder Highway and Lowery Street that claimed the life of a 27-year-old motorcyclist.

On June 21st, 2020 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Henderson Police and Fire responded to calls of a traffic collision involving a white GMC pickup truck and a silver 2003 Aprilla sport bike.

Initial information obtained at the scene indicated the rider of the Aprilla sport bike was traveling northbound on Boulder Highway approaching Lowery Street. The driver of the pickup truck attempted to make a left turn from southbound Boulder Highway onto Lowery Street into the path of the sport bike, resulting in the collision.

The rider of the sport bike was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the GMC pickup truck remained at the scene, was cooperative with the investigation, and showed no signs of impairment.

Northbound Boulder Highway and Lowery Street were closed for approximately four hours while fatal accident investigators conducted their investigation.

The name of the motorcyclist killed in the collision will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The crash is being investigated as the second accident-related fatality for 2020.
