Henderson Police Release Critical Incident Community Briefing For Officer-Involved Shooting #8 of 2019

Henderson, Nev. –On December 14th, at about 8:05 a.m., the City of Henderson Police Department responded to the 2700 block of North Green Valley Parkway in reference to multiple callers reporting a male was at the location stating, “I’m going to stab someone, call the police”.
Preliminarily, officers arrived on scene and located a male matching the description, later identified as 37-year-old John Watson, outside of a business.  Watson, armed with a knife, advanced on Officers, which resulted in an officer-involved shooting.

Watson was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. 

No officers were injured during this incident.

As this is an open investigation, no further details will be released at this time.

This is for the eighth officer-involved shooting of 2019.
