Henderson Police Conclude Joining Forces Event Targeting Speeders

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 15th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program.
During the enforcement initiative that ran from August 22nd through September 2nd, 2020, Henderson Police stopped a total of 421 motorists.
Of the 421 traffic stops, motorists were issued 335 speeding citations, 8 citations for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), 16 citations for registration and driver’s license violations, 2 citations for red light violations, 13 citations for no insurance, as well as several other citations issued for other traffic related offenses. Additionally, 61 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.
The Henderson Police Department received $201,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety - Office of Traffic Safety for the 2020 Joining Forces program.
