City of Henderson Temporarily Suspending Water Service Shutoffs

Henderson, Nev. – The City of Henderson Department of Utility Services is temporarily suspending water service shutoffs for Henderson customers that are financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Henderson water service customers should contact the Department of Utility Services’ Customer Care Center at 702-267-5900 from Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. to make a payment arrangement if they are unable to pay their utility bill by the due date. Customers may also submit requests online through Contact Henderson and can view their utility bill and make a payment by credit or debit card using the secure online payment system while Henderson City Hall is closed to visitors until Monday, March 23.
The City of Henderson's Water Treatment Plant provides approximately 15% of the community's annual drinking water, with the remainder supplied by the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Both agencies use cutting-edge technology and conduct thousands of tests to ensure the water is safe to drink. The Department of Utility Services does not anticipate any current scenario that would interrupt water availability to the community.
The City of Henderson is the sole provider for sewer service and advises customers that only toilet paper should be flushed down the toilet. Items such as wet wipes, diapers and facial tissue could potentially harm your pipes and cause a wastewater backup or overflow into your home if flushed.
