WHAT: Henderson Symphony Orchestra Performs Score Live at Showing of Sci-Fi Masterpiece Film
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 18, 8 p.m. (gates open at 7 p.m.)

Nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Original Score, Close Encounters of the Third Kind remains as engrossing and inspiring today as it was forty-plus years ago. Now, attendees will be able to experience John Williams’ magnificent score performed in its entirety by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, live and in sync with this extraordinary film.
Written and directed by Steven Spielberg, the film tells the story of Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss), an ordinary blue-collar electrical lineman from Indiana who experiences a close encounter with an unidentified flying object.
The canopy-free Henderson Pavilion is just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. On-site parking is free.

Food and beverage vendors will be on-site during the concert. Outside food, sealed non-alcoholic beverages, and personal-sized coolers are permitted. Outside alcohol and glass containers are not permitted.
Blankets and lawn chairs and are permitted, as long as they do not obstruct another person's view.
