Henderson, Nev. – On October 27, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Henderson Police and Fire responded to a single motor vehicle accident involving a 2004 Chevrolet sedan on North Boulder Highway, just north of Merlayne Drive.

Investigation indicates that the sedan was traveling northbound on Boulder Highway and crossed over 2 lanes of traffic and off the roadway where the vehicle struck a tree and a fence. The 33-year-old female driver was the only occupant and was ejected from the vehicle.

The female was transported to Sunrise Trauma where it was later learned she had succumbed to her injuries.

Northbound Boulder Highway was closed for approximately three hours while fatal crash investigators conducted their investigation.

Speed was a factor; however, it was not immediately known if impairment was a factor.

The name of the deceased will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The crash is being investigated as the ninth traffic related fatality this year in The City of Henderson.
