Henderson Identifies 5 Key Priority Industries for Continued Economic Vitality

HENDERSON, Nev. (Nov. 20, 2023) – The City of Henderson announced today the findings of its Target Industry Study, a report which will serve as a dynamic roadmap for recruiting businesses to expand and relocate within Henderson.
The results of the analysis provide an updated scope of focus for the second largest city in Nevada with five key industries that will positively enhance its economic landscape, including:
• Media and Sports Production – an area experiencing rapid growth and of high interest to job-seekers in Nevada.
• Logistics Management and Technologies – a high-growth area which includes a focus on operations centers and higher-paying logistics professional jobs.
• Electrical Equipment and Components Manufacturing – already the eighth-largest industry in Henderson.
• Financial and Credit Services – industry has second-highest average earnings per worker in Henderson ($108,122 in 2022).
• Back-Office Management and Support Services – associated with higher-paying jobs and serves as a facilitator for other industries.
The Target Industry Study uses recent data, industry performance and expected future trends to identify growth opportunities in industries rich with opportunities for career advancement, innovation and economic growth. The City also utilized community and stakeholder feedback and surveys to develop a qualitative response in addition to its qualitative findings for a complete picture of Henderson’s goals.
