The Platinum Peak Performance Award Recognizes 100% Compliance With the Clean Water Act and Other Safety Standards

HENDERSON, Nev. (Sept. 2, 2026) — The City of Henderson proudly announces that the Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) has been recognized with the 2026 Platinum Peak Performance Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). This marks the 22nd consecutive year the City has been honored with a NACWA Peak Performance Award.

The Peak Performance Award recognizes 100% compliance with the Clean Water Act’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits. Platinum is the highest level of recognition and honors the City for treating wastewater to some of the highest standards in the nation, protecting the environment and residents who call Henderson home.

The City recently completed $100 million in wastewater treatment process upgrades to the facility, which was originally constructed in 1994. These upgrades added system reliability and increased capacity to ensure reliable service for residents today and into the future. WRF is the main wastewater treatment plant in Henderson and treats up to 44 million gallons of wastewater per day.
