Selected Artists Will Work Alongside Professional Muralists To Design and Paint Public Art at Henderson Parks

HENDERSON, Nev. (Aug. 20, 2026) — The City of Henderson is accepting applications for its Mural Artist Apprenticeship, calling on emerging artists from the Las Vegas Valley to put their creativity on display at Henderson parks.

Selected artists will take part in an apprenticeship with a Lead Artist from December 2026 to May 2027, where they will learn how to design, plan and execute a public mural that encompasses principles of wayfinding and site-identity.

At the end of the apprenticeship, each artist will design and paint a mural on a Henderson park roll door in the Green Valley, Green Valley Ranch and McCullough Hills areas.

This opportunity is intended for artists with limited art experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and currently reside in the Las Vegas valley.

Deadline to submit an application is Thursday, Sept. 10.
