Commemorative Banners Will Be Displayed Along Water Street and Green Valley Parkway

HENDERSON, Nev. (Aug. 06, 2026) — The City of Henderson is now accepting applications for its annual Hometown Heroes banner program, honoring active-duty military service members from Henderson.

The Raiders Foundation is a proud sponsor of the Hometown Heroes program, which displays commemorative banners on Water Street and Green Valley Parkway, ensuring military heroes are honored at no cost to their friends and families.

“These banners are a meaningful tribute to the brave men and women who serve our country,” said Mayor Michelle Romero. “They provide families and friends with a visible reminder that their loved one’s service is seen, valued and celebrated by the community.”

Space is limited, and applications will be accepted through September 8.
