At the City of Henderson, we know learning begins long before a child enters kindergarten. The early years are a critical time for children to build confidence, develop independence and discover the joy of learning—and that is what happens every day at the City of Henderson’s Valley View Recreation Center Preschool.

Our preschool program provides children with access to quality education in a welcoming, structured environment where they can learn, explore and grow. Through hands-on activities, classroom experiences and daily interactions, children build academic, social and emotional skills that create a strong foundation for their future.

Every milestone matters. From recognizing new words and writing their names to trying new activities and gaining confidence, children are constantly discovering what they can accomplish. The skills they develop in the classroom often carry into their everyday lives, helping them become curious, capable and independent learners.

Our preschool teachers focus on more than numbers and letters. They help children develop confidence, problem-solving skills and the ability to work with others—skills that support success in school and beyond.

As more Henderson families recognize the value of early learning, demand for our preschool program continues to grow. Enrollment has increased by nearly 22% over the past year, leading to expanded classrooms, increased capacity and the construction of a second preschool location in the Cadence community.
