Voter Turnout at Henderson City Hall Doubled From the 2024 Primary Election

HENDERSON, Nev. (June 18, 2026) — Official results for the City of Henderson municipal election have been certified by City Council. More than 60,000 Henderson voters cast their ballots during the 2026 primary election period.

Question 1: Parks and Recreation Funding

Voters approved the continuation of funding for the City’s parks and recreation system for an additional 30 years. The funding, in place since 1997, supports parks, programming, maintenance, services, and recreational opportunities throughout the community. The measure continues the existing funding source and does not increase the current tax rate.

Mayor

No candidate received a majority of votes cast. Michelle Romero, who received 29,040 votes, and Hollie Chadwick, who received 13,432 votes, will advance to the general election for final consideration by voters.

City Council, Ward III

No candidate received a majority of votes cast. Jennifer Atlas, who received 4,387 votes, and Carrie Cox, who received 3,516 votes, will advance to the general election for final consideration by voters.

Municipal Court Judge, Department 1

No candidate received a majority of votes cast. Alicia Albritton, who received 21,725 votes, and Gary Thompson, who received 15,756 votes, will advance to the general election for final consideration by voters.

Kids Vote

In the election for Henderson’s favorite ice cream flavor, Rainbow Sherbet, which received 189 votes, and Cookie Dough, which received 181 votes and will advance to the general election for final consideration by voters. 645 young voters cast their ballots at Henderson City Hall.
