Applications Now Open for Roles Supporting Youth, Sustainability and Emergency Preparedness

HENDERSON, Nev. (June 15, 2026) — The City of Henderson is now recruiting AmeriCorps Volunteers interested in serving in its youth enrichment programs at local recreation centers and elementary schools, sustainability efforts and emergency preparedness.

AmeriCorps is a network of local, state and national service programs that connect thousands of participants with local organizations to expand their operational capacity. City of Henderson AmeriCorps Volunteers can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Education awards for college tuition and/or student loan repayment
  • Flexible, part-time hours
  • Living allowance stipends
  • Career development opportunities

AmeriCorps Volunteers must be 17 years old or older to apply, be on track to earn a high school diploma, or have received one or its equivalent.
