HENDERSON, Nev. (May 19, 2026) — Calling all future voters! The City of Henderson invites kids 18 and under to visit City Hall with a registered voter to cast their ballot for their favorite ice cream flavor during the Primary Election, beginning with early voting on Saturday, May 23. Election Day is June 9

In the 2024 General Election, more than 1,450 young voters cast ballots for their favorite ice cream flavor. The winning candidate, Cookies & Cream, has decided not to seek reelection, leaving kids to choose their next favorite. The race is now on between:

  • Cookie Dough
  • Mint Chip
  • Rainbow Sherbert

Every young voter who participates will receive a special “I Voted” sticker and a FREE scoop of ice cream courtesy of Purple Penguin Snowcone Shack. The top two flavors will advance to the General Election in November.

Henderson City Hall will be a ballot drop-off and polling location for registered voters during the Primary Election. Please mail your mail ballot at least seven days prior to election day to be sure it is postmarked and received in time. If not mailed by June 2, bring to a ballot drop-off location.
