
Henderson Launches a New $50 Tree-Planting Rebate—Plus Get up to $575 and SNWA Incentives When You Swap Water-Thirsty Grass for Desert-Friendly Landscaping
HENDERSON, Nev. (March 25, 2026) — Ready to give your yard a fresh start ahead of spring? Henderson homeowners can now turn their thirsty lawns into beautiful desert-friendly landscapes and get rewarded for it.
The City of Henderson is introducing a new rebate that rewards residents for going green. Henderson homeowners can receive a $50 rebate for planting qualifying trees when replacing grass,
Additionally, through the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) rebate program, residents can replace water-thirsty grass with drought-tolerant plants and receive $5 per square foot for up to 10,000 square feet of grass removed, and $2.50 per square foot thereafter.
On top of that the City of Henderson offers a $575 supplemental rebate for Henderson residents who apply for the SNWA rebate first.
