Henderson Parks & Recreation Programs Reach Thousands Of Residents In Stand-Out Year

Four new parks opened and more than 60,000 residents registered in classes

HENDERSON, Nev. (Dec. 30, 2025) — The City of Henderson is closing out 2025 with notable milestones in its award-winning Parks and Recreation system, highlighting its vital role in the community’s health, connection and quality of life.

 With more than 75 parks and 300 miles of trails, Henderson continues to rank among the nation’s leading cities for parks access and recreational amenities.

 New year-end data highlights how parks and recreation make it possible:

  • New Parks Opened: 4
  • Total number of class registrations: 65,144 registered across 7,683 classes
  • Event Attendance: 134,635
  • Senior Nutrition Services: 232,512 meals served
  • Youth Enrichment Enrollment: 3,063
  • Sports and Recreation Activity: 6,673 players in various youth and adult sports played across a total of 3,715 games

“Every number represents a resident who engaged, learned, connected or received support,” said Henderson City Manager and CEO Stephanie Garcia-Vause. “Parks and Recreation is a major contributor to why Henderson remains one of the healthiest, safest and most active communities in America.”
