
Adoption Special Aims To Keep APs Facility at a Healthy Capacity
HENDERSON, Nev. (Aug. 20, 2025) — To help adoptable animals find their forever homes, Henderson Animal Protection Services (APS) is offering the public several free adoption opportunities through Oct. 31.
The "Free Fur-All" adoption special is open to everyone, no Henderson residency required. Adoption fees will be waived and facility hours extended on the following dates:
- Sunday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Adoptions only; no other services will be available)
- Monday, Aug. 25, through Friday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Only adoption services will be offered from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Saturday, Aug. 30, 9am to 5pm (regular hours and services)
The free adoptions are made possible through a generous $30,000 grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) as part of the Rescue Effect campaign.
All adoptions are made in person, on a first-come, first-served basis at Henderson Animal Protection Services.
