HENDERSON POLICE INVESTIGATING TWO SEPARATE TRAFFIC COLLISIONS RESULTING IN DELAYED FATALITIES

HENDERSON, Nev.- (Aug. 6, 2025) The Henderson Police Department is investigating two separate traffic collisions that resulted in delayed fatalities. 

INCIDENT #: 25-14128

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 9:25 p.m., the Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Anthem Highlands Drive and Democracy Drive in reference to a single vehicle collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed a white Chevrolet Blazer was traveling southbound on Anthem Highlands when it crossed over the median into the northbound travel lanes.  The vehicle continued through the intersection at Democracy, over the eastbound traffic sidewalk, through the landscaping, and hit a brick wall head on.

The driver, who was pregnant, was transported to an area hospital for further medical evaluation.  Henderson Police Fatal Investigators were notified later that evening the unborn baby did not survive the collision.

Speed nor impairment were considered factors in this incident. This collision is being investigated as the seventh fatality for 2025.  

INCIDENT #: 25-12350

On June 30, 2025, at approximately 8:56 p.m., the Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Horizon Ridge Parkway and Sandy Ridge Avenue in reference to a single vehicle collision into a light pole.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black Mercedes four door sedan was traveling eastbound on Horizon Ridge Parkway when the front of the vehicle struck the median, causing the vehicle to overturn, coming to rest after striking a light pole on the median.

Both the driver and passenger were transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Henderson Police Fatal Investigators were notified that the driver succumbed to injuries sustained as a result of this collision.

Speed is considered a contributing factor in this incident, while impairment is not. This collision is being investigated as the eighth fatality for 2025.  

The name of the decedents will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Due to both incidents being active and open investigation, no other details will be provided at this time.
