Henderson Supplementing SNWA $3-Per-Square-Foot Rebate With Additional $575

HENDERSON, Nev. (March 11, 2025) – The City of Henderson is offering residents a $575 supplementary rebate for replacing their decorative grass, in addition to the Southern Nevada Water Authority's Water Smart Landscape rebate.

By removing their decorative grass at home with water-smart landscaping, Henderson residents can receive $3 per square foot from SNWA, and an additional $575 from the City.

In 2024, Henderson’s portion of the rebate program supported 347 projects, resulting in more than 314,000 square feet of turf removed for an expected water savings of more than 17 million gallons per year.

“This rebate is another way you can do your part to help our community save water,” said Director of Utility Services Priscilla Howell. “We urge everyone to consider a beautiful water-smart landscape that will thrive in our desert heat. Because we can’t afford to be just good at saving water—we need to be great.”

To qualify, projects must be approved by SNWA and be for single-family residential parcels of at least 400 square feet within City of Henderson boundaries.
