Tree Lighting and Drone Show

Thursday, December4

Come early for a full, festive night on the plaza starting with a special holiday market and entertainment by the Coronado High School Choir and Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand. The tree lighting will spark the plaza with bright holiday displays and lights followed by everyone's favorite, the spectacular drone show in the sky!  All activities will take place on the Water Street Plaza.

Electric Light Parade

Friday, December 5

This holiday highlight includes bands, cheer teams and many festive floats! The parade is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. All activities will take place along Water Street between Basic Road and Victory Road. 

Parade Route

The Electric Light Parade will travel through historic Water Street in downtown Henderson, lighting up the heart of Winterfest.

Ryan Shupe has a crossover style that is fresh and unlike any other. He and his band put on a great show that is unique, creative and entertaining. Playing a wide range of instruments and musical styles, the band appeals to rockers, fans of bluegrass and jam bands across a broad age range. Stellar musicianship, witty lyrics, sing-alongs and introspective ballads take the audience on a highly energized rollercoaster. With amazing and versatile musicians, Shupe’s original songs are highlighted with hot instrumental solos and tight vocal harmonies. Affinity is an immersive, interactive installation that draws inspiration from the intricate workings of the human brain. Each light orb symbolises a memory, waiting to be awakened. As visitors approach Affinity, they are greeted by a symphony of memories, each triggered by their proximity. Touching an orb ignites a corresponding light, setting off a visual journey. The longer one engages, the further their light travels through the artwork, weaving a unique tapestry of connection. With 112 captivating color combinations and 62 points of interaction, Affinity invites exploration into the depths of our shared experiences.

Parking/Arrival

• Free parking is available at two convenient parking garages. The Water Street Parking Garage is located at 235 S. Water St. directly across from Water Street Plaza and visitors can enter from Texas Avenue. The City Hall Parking Garage is also available with access from Basic Road. There are also several free parking lots in the Water Street District.
• There will be no shuttle service offered. If you choose to drive, please plan on arriving early to obtain a parking spot.
• If you are a nearby resident, we encourage walking, biking, scootering, etc. to the event.

Miscellaneous

• All bags are subject to search.
• Winterfest is a completely outdoor event.
• Children under age 16 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• For parents visiting with small children, it is recommended to take a photo of your child prior to/upon entering on your cell phone. In the unlikely and unfortunate event you are separated, the current photo will help our staff be able to easily identify your child when searching for them.
• For your safety and the safety of others, please do not cross through the parade procession, parade entries are moving vehicles and components and aren’t prepared to stop for pedestrians.
