You are cordially invited to celebrate the holidays all month long with the City of Henderson, beginning with our annual kick-off celebration, WinterFest! This FREE, special tradition returns with the popular feature: a drone show in the sky!

Night One: Tree Lighting Ceremony and Drone Show
Night Two: Electric Light Parade

There will be plenty of winter cheer along with a variety of holiday entertainment, including performances by Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand along with Coronado High School choir and a fun, festive illumination of holiday décor at the Water Street Plaza. You do not want to miss the biggest holiday event in Southern Nevada. Join us for all the festivities under the lights of the beautiful Water Street District!

Celebrate the season with the annual tree lighting, festive music from Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand along with the Coronado High School choir and tasty food vendors, and a stunning drone show presented by Nevada State Bank.

Sue Foley—One Guitar Woman

Sue Foley brings world-class, acoustic blues to the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater on March 21 at 7pm. A five-time Blues Music Award winner and GRAMMY® nominee, Foley is renowned for her fiery guitar work, soulful vocals and commanding stage presence. Rooted in Texas blues, she has become one of the most respected voices in the genre.

Celebrating her latest album One Guitar Woman, Foley pays tribute to the pioneering women of guitar history while also showcasing her own unmistakable style. Her performance features intimate, acoustic moments and electrifying solos, blending deep blues tradition with refined technique. Each song reflects her passion as both a performer and a scholar of blues.

Her career began in her teens and has taken her to international stages alongside legends like B.B. King and Buddy Guy. Today, Sue Foley delivers concerts that are expressive, powerful and unforgettable. You will not want to miss this chance to experience an extraordinary evening of music. Tickets are only $15.



More About Sue Foley

Sue Foley is a multi-award-winning blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose latest album, One Guitar Woman: A Tribute to the Female Pioneers of Guitar, was nominated for the 2025 GRAMMY® Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. Known for her fiery playing and soulful voice, Foley blends Texas blues grit with refined fingerstyle technique, whether on her signature pink paisley Fender Telecaster or a hand-built flamenco guitar.

Born in Ottawa, Canada, Foley began performing professionally at 16 and made her mark in Austin, Texas, with the legendary Antone’s label. Since her 1992 debut Young Girl Blues, she’s toured internationally, sharing stages with B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Billy F Gibbons. Foley is a five-time consecutive Blues Music Award winner for Traditional Blues Female Artist (2020–2025) and a recipient of multiple other honors, including a JUNO Award and the 2024 Maple Blues Lifetime Achievement Award.

A passionate scholar as well as a performer, Foley holds a PhD in Musicology and will release her first book, Guitar Women, in 2026.
