Professional Biography:
Steve Kirk was elected at large to the Henderson City Council in May 1999 and
re-elected for his third term in 2007, representing Ward IV. Councilman Kirk
serves with the mayor and fellow council members as the legislative branch of
the Henderson community, responsible for setting policies and making decisions
concerning many different aspects of local government. The City Council also
approves the city’s budget.
Steve was raised in Henderson and is a graduate of Basic High School. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1984 with a degree in Design Engineering Technology. He is the Sales Manager for Sun Valley Imaging and Technologies, an electronic content management solutions company.
Steve currently represents Henderson on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors, the Southern Nevada Water Authority Board of Directors, and the Clean Water Coalition. He also serves on the Clark County School District Oversight Board of Trustees and the city of Henderson Redevelopment Agency. He previously served on the Southern Nevada Health District and S.A.F.E. House Board of Directors.
