Water Treatment Plant (WTP)

The City's Water Treatment Plant provides approximately 15% of the community's annual drinking water, with the remainder supplied by the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Constructed in 1994, the WTP can treat up to 15 million gallons per day.

Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility (WRF)

The Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility is the City's primary wastewater treatment plant. Originally constructed in 1994 and upgraded in 2008, the treatment capacity is 32 million gallons of wastewater per day. WRF provides treatment ranging from biological removal of organics, solids,  ammonia and phosphorus. Additional phosphorus is removed chemically followed by filtration. Ultraviolet light is used to disinfect the treated water and chlorination/dechlorination is used to backup the UV system. The plant design centers around the activated sludge process which provides biological treatment.

Southwest Water Reclamation Facility (SWRF)

The Southwest Water Reclamation Facility (SWRF) is the City's first satellite wastewater treatment plant, and treats only liquid waste produced by west Henderson. The SWRF began operation in 2012 with a capacity to treat eight million gallons of wastewater per day.
