Henderson Police Department
The City of Henderson Police Department is located at 223 Lead
Street and has divisions such as Patrol, DARE, Community Policing, Training, Communications, Records, Investigations, Corrections and Animal Control. The West Substation at Liberty Pointe is located at 300 S. Green Valley Pkwy.
In March 2002, the City of Henderson Police Department joined a select group of some 500 police agencies worldwide to achieve accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). CALEA accreditation indicates an agency has met the highest and most strict standards for police policies and procedures in the nation and the world. There are approximately 18,000 police agencies in the United States.

Gun Registration & Permits
Henderson Municipal Code requires the registration of pistols whether by purchase, gift or any other transfer. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department maintains the gun registration files; however, pistols can be registered at the City of Henderson Police Department if you are a Henderson resident. When taking a pistol to any location for registration, transport the pistol unloaded and do not bring any ammunition. A picture identification will also be required.

Fire Department
The City of Henderson provides the only full-service Fire Department in the Las Vegas Valley, providing both Fire Response and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transport. Operating 9 fire stations and a Fire Training Center, the City of Henderson Fire Department covers the city limits of over 96 square miles. The Fire Department is one of a few departments nationwide accredited by two agencies: Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).
The City of Henderson Fire Department Administration office is located at 240 Water Street. The Fire Department includes the following Divisions: Fire Administration; Fire/Rescue Operations; Emergency Medical Services (EMS); Fire Training (including Fire Records); Fire Investigation; Emergency Management; Logistics; and Special Operations (including Public Education).
