Eastside Redevelopment Area
Eastside is Henderson’s fourth redevelopment area. Eastside encompasses more than 4,500 acres and includes the Pittman, Valley View and East Sunset Industrial Corridor, as well as Landwell’s 2,200 acres. Currently, the Henderson Redevelopment Agency is assisting residents through funding home improvement efforts and has launched additional redevelopment programs including homeowner assistance, which is administered by the City’s Neighborhood Services Division. The Agency has provided over $870,000 in housing improvement assistance, matched with over $429,500 in private investment. Following numerous community meetings with area residents, the Agency’s plans include addressing the resident’s concerns in the areas of safety, home improvement, services and amenities, and infrastructure improvement.
