Patrol Division
Traffic Unit - Commercial Vehicle Team
The Henderson Commercial Vehicle team is comprised of one Sergeant and seven
Officers. These officers work commercial enforcement only part time, as they are
also in charge of field services and special enforcement. The Commercial
Enforcement Team’s primary goal is to keep the streets of Henderson safe by
enforcing commercial truck safety rules and ensuring that they are being
maintained properly.
The Commercial Vehicle team conducts three types of enforcement. The levels of
enforcement are rated levels I, II and III. A level III is the least invasive
while a Level I is the most. A Level I inspection can take several hours per
truck and includes inspection of the log book, driver credentials, and a
complete inspection of the trucks engine, brakes, lights and other operating
equipment.
