Investigations Division
Cold Cases
The Henderson Police started an innovative way to look into unsolved homicides and other unsolved violent crimes - a Cold Case Review Team. In June 2010 the first unsolved homicide was reviewed by a team of officers, detectives and civilian police employees. The hope is that fresh perspectives from officers and civilian police employees will lead to information to solve the crimes.
There are 23 murders that remain unsolved in Henderson dating back to 1970. As each of these old cases is reviewed, there could be people who have information but were unable or unwilling to come forward, but will provide investigators with the needed information to solve one of these crimes. Even the smallest bit of information could be the key to solving a crime and providing justice for a victim and the victim's family.
