Lieutenant Angell is a long time resident of the Las Vegas Valley. An athlete and honors student she graduated from Las Vegas High School and received a Bachelorís Degree in Criminal Justice from UNLV.
Law Enforcement History
Lieutenant Angell was hired as a Corrections Officer in 1994 when the Police Department was comparatively small. Shortly thereafter the department began to grow and she was promoted to Sergeant in 1996 and ultimately promoted to Lieutenant in 2000. In her career as a Lieutenant, she has been responsible for the development of policy and procedure, inmate commissary, inmate health services, various contracts, culinary, recruitment and training for support and sworn staff, budget and strategic planning. Returning to operations in 2014 after 6 years in support, Lieutenant Angellís major responsibilities are dayshift operations, information technology and recruitment and training for sworn staff. Lieutenant Angell is also active in the Henderson Police Supervisorís Association and has served as the Grievance Committee Chairperson since 2006.
