Teen Scene

Children and instructors at Teen Scene

Sixth through eighth graders enjoy this enriching after-school program. Provided for working parents to ensure teens' safety, Teen Scene provides a USDA nutritional snack and features arts and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips and special events. The program is designed with teens’ interests in mind, while providing a safe, supervised environment. Teen Scene follows the Clark County School District calendar.

Registration

Safekey/Teen Scene Pricing for 2014-2015

Starting August 25, 2014, Safekey will be available at a flat rate* of $5 for the before-school program and $8 for the after-school program. Teen Scene is available at a flat rate of $8 for the after-school program (no morning program). The sibling discount rate (after the first child) is $4 for the before-school program and $7 for the after-school program. The city reserves the right to request supporting documentation.

The daily rate can be paid in advance or on the day your child attends the program. You may pay online at cityofhenderson.com/parks or at any recreation center. Payments are not accepted at Safekey/Teen Scene sites. All payments must be made prior to your child attending the program.

You may pay by check, credit card, money order or cash. Please make checks and money orders payable to the City of Henderson. At your Safekey/Teen Scene site, present your receipt to site staff for verification of payment and enrollment. Without a receipt your child will be unable to attend the program.

*With exception to Burkholder Middle School, Brown Junior High School, Hinman Elementary School and Robert Taylor Elementary School,which are on a different rate schedule.

Payments are due by 6:00 pm the Wednesday prior to the week attending. Payments received after Wednesday of the week prior will then be charged a daily drop-in rate. Payments can be made at any recreation center, by mail or online. A late fee of $10 will be assessed for any non-payments. A $10 fee will be assessed for late pickups beginning at 6:01 pm. Year-round program (follows Clark County School District calendar)
Monday-Friday  7:00-8:45/9:00 a.m. and from school dismissal to 6:00 p.m.


Registration/Payment Methods

Registration is ongoing at all Teen Scene sites during Teen Scene hours (Monday-Friday from dismissal time until 6pm). Payments are due on the Wednesday prior to the week the child will be attending (by 11:59pm if paying online or at any recreation center by 8pm). Payments received after Wednesday of the week prior will be charged a daily drop-in rate.

A fee will be assessed for late pickups at $10 for every 10 minutes, beginning at closing. For additional information, call the Safekey office at 702-267-4100. Drop-ins are welcome (sorry, no hourly rates). Daily rates are effective after closing on Wednesday. Safekey/Teen Scene families are eligible for multiple child discount rates. Financial assistance is available for qualified families. Check with your Teen Scene site for rates or call 702-267-4100.

Payments are accepted at all recreation centers, by mail and through our online registration system.
