Please Recycle Your Holiday TreeDec. 26-Jan. 16
The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department will recycle your holiday tree for free!
Before dropping your holiday tree off, please remove all non-organic material such as lights, ornaments, wires, tinsel and nails. Foreign objects contaminate the mulch and damage the chipper. Flocked trees cannot be recycled.
To recycle your tree after the holidays, simply drop it off at one of these locations:
- Acacia Park, 50 Casa Del Fuego St.
- Anthem Hills Park, 2256 N. Reunion Dr.
- Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr.
- Morrell Park, 500 Harris St.
- Pecos Legacy Park, 150 Pecos Rd.
- Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Dr.
The Parks and Recreation Department will recycle the holiday trees by turning them into mulch using a chipper. The mulch will then be used in parks and landscaping throughout Henderson. In addition to reducing the amount of waste going into our landfills, the mulch is a valuable organic material that will help conserve soil moisture and provide nutrients for plants.
