About The Henderson Senior Center
The Senior Center provides a variety of activities and services for patrons age 50 and over. Daily leisure activities and instructional classes are available. Excursions and special events are also offered every month.

Social Services
The Center provides social services to assist seniors programs in accessing a broad range USDA of community services. We offer assistance with Energy Assistance, care management services, food commodities, information and referral. Free monthly workshops on a variety of pertinent senior topics and a caregiver support group are also offered. Call (702) 267-4156 for more information.

The Black Mountain Nutrition Program
This program provides meals, both congregate and homebound. Lunch is served at the Senior Center Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-1:00 pm. Suggested donation for those 60 and over is $1.50; there is a $3 charge for those under 60. Meals on Wheels delivers meals Monday-Friday to qualifying homebound seniors. Call (702) 267-4160 for more information.

The Henderson Auxiliary
Provides meals on weekends. On Saturdays, breakfast is served from 9:00 to 11:00 am. On Sundays, lunch is served from noon to 1:30 pm. There is a $1.50 charge for weekend meals.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides information and referral services for seniors who wish to use their time and talents to teach classes, organize programs and special events, and serve others. Opportunities are available at the Senior Center and other sites in the City of Henderson. Pick up an application at the Senior center. Orientation is the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:30am.

If you need assistance to fully participate in a program, please contact the program coordinator at least two weeks prior to the program start date or call the Senior Center.
