The City of Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is located at the Kurt R. Segler
Water Reclamation Facility, and encompasses nearly 149 acres of basins, lagoons
and ponds that offer a superb environment for birding. Seasonally, the cooler
months are best for birding, but some waterfowl remain even in the middle of
summer. The best time to see the greatest variety of birds is during the spring
and fall, in early morning.
