If you'd like to join a novice swim team, a national training group or learn the latest swim techniques, you've come to the right place! The City of Henderson offers a variety of competitive water sports including swim, dive and water polo teams. Below you will find brief descriptions of the programs we offer. B.C.H. Heatwave Swim Team
Participants practice competitive swimming techniques in preparation for local and national swim meets. The program is offered six days per week, but the coach will assign practice days. Tryouts are required.
National Training Group
National-level practices and meets. Please check with the coach prior to registering for this extended workout at the Henderson Multigenerational Competition Pool.
Henderson/Southern Nevada U.S. Masters Swim Team
This is a United States Masters Swim Team for fitness enthusiasts, triathletes and competitive swimmers. The team competes at all levels in local and national meets. Practices take place at the Henderson Multigenerational Competition Pool and participants must be at least 19 years old.
Swim Aloha
This program is designed to introduce the latest competitive swim techniques to swimmers (from 18 months to adults), preparing to join a swim team or wishing to improve their strokes. Taught by certified swim coaches, these classes are semi-private and include one 30-minute session per week. Tryouts are required.
Henderson Dive Team
Designed for those with an interest in competitive diving, participants learn techniques in preparation for local
and national dive meets. Diving practice takes place at the Henderson Multigenerational Competition Pool.
Recreational Diving – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
Springboard diving students learn the basic techniques, proper approach, hurdle, rotation and entry of five required dives. Intermediate and advanced divers must know proper approach, hurdle, front dive and entry. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards and easily tread water. Safety techniques are a priority.
Jr. Water Polo – Beginner and Advanced
This is the place for your child to discover the fast-paced sport of water polo. They'll learn fundamental water polo skills, including kicking, passing and defensive strategies, and participate in a game at every practice. Parents will be amazed at their child's overall improvement in swimming and aquatic endurance.
Henderson Water Polo Club
This club is designed for those with a serious interest in the fast, physical sport of water polo. Tryouts are held prior to practice and are required prior to registering.
Synchronized Swimming
If you enjoy ballet, swimming or gymnastics, this is the sport for you. Our expert instructor teaches beginners how to build strength, endurance, skill and grace while learning the art of synchronized swimming. You must be able to swim 25 yards and easily tread water.
