Trail Watch
Henderson Trail Watch volunteers promote safety and appropriate trail use by providing information and assistance to all trail users. They observe and document safety issues requiring attention, serve as a positive presence on Henderson trails and assist the Henderson Parks and Recreation and Henderson Police Departments to keep Henderson trails safe and well maintained.

Four Steps to Trail Watch

  • Complete an application
  • Attend training
  • Hit the trail
  • Report your observations

Henderson Trail Watch Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete the application and attend training.
  • Carry a personal cell phone at all times while on the trail.
  • Carry Trail Watch ID and wear a Trail Watch vest or armband.
  • Log and report time on trail.

How to Apply
If you are interested in becoming a Henderson Trail Watch volunteer please complete the
PDF Volunteer Application.

Completed applications can be emailed to COHTrailWatch@cityofhenderson.com, faxed to (702) 267-4051 or mailed to:

You may also drop off your application in person to the Outdoor Recreation Office at Valley View Recreation Center at 500 Harris Street.  

Training
Once your completed application has been processed, you will be contacted with training information. All Henderson Trail Watch volunteers are required to attend a one hour training class. The training class will provide the volunteers with the tools and information to make their time on the trail successful.
