Closure Notices

We have a number of active construction projects in progress (parks, trails, etc.). Residents are reminded that sites under construction are closed to the public for safety reasons. For questions, please call us at 267-4000.

The Pittman Wash Trail will be closed between Valle Verde Dr. and Arroyo Grande Blvd. from September 16-20 for construction activity. Signs are posted on the trail.

The parking lot at Mountain View Park will be closed from 4pm on Friday, September 26 through 6am on Sunday, September 28 for sealing and striping.

Mile marker posts will be installed on the following trails during the month of September: Amargosa Trail, Burkholder Trail, Cactus Wren Trail, Pittman Wash Trail, Lake Mead Trail and UPRR Trail. Please note that portions of the trail may be closed during the installation process.

The playground at River Mountain Park is currently closed for resurfacing.

The River Mountains Loop Trail will be closed beginning July 7 from Ithaca Ave. to Lake Mead Pkwy. for safety improvements. A detour will be available and signs will be posted on the trail.

The Henderson Multigenerational Outdoor Competition Pool will close at 3pm on August 30 and will remain closed for repairs through September 30. It is expected to reopen October 1.

Locker rooms at the Henderson Multigenerational Center and Henderson Multigenerational Indoor Pool will be closed for major renovations September 2 through October 16.

Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool will be closed for routine maintenance September 22-October 2.

Heritage Park Aquatic Complex will be closed for routine maintenance October 6-19.

The lights at Siena Heights Trailhead are not operational. During this time, the trailhead is only open during daylight hours and closes at dusk. We are expecting they'll be repaired soon.

The rock wall at Downtown Recreation Center is closed until further notice.

Heritage Bark Park will be closed for maintenance:

  • Large dog enclosure: July 14-August 18
  • Small dog enclosure: August 18-September 15
  • All dog enclosure: September 15-October 20
