Outdoor Gear Swap Meet Adds Twist to National Trails Day
Registration Open for Those Wishing to Sell Items
HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an outdoor gear swap meet in conjunction with its National Trails Day Celebration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Promenade at the Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Pkwy. Admission is free.
Adults wishing to sell second-hand outdoor gear at the event may reserve a 10’ x 10’ space for $20 (limit two spaces per person). Register online at cityofhenderson.com (activity 154071-95) or at any City of Henderson recreation center by Sept. 26. Setup is 7:30-8:30 a.m.
“Most people have outdoor equipment that they no longer use or that family members have outgrown. This is the kind of equipment that ends up in the garage or in a closet taking up space,” said Jennifer Magby, Outdoor Recreation coordinator, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “Our outdoor gear swap meet is the perfect way to clear out that space and make a few extra dollars at the same time. An added benefit is that your unwanted items will find a new home with someone who can really use them.”
