Neighborhood Park Public Meeting Set for Aug. 26

HENDERSON, Nev. – HENDERSON, Nev. – The City of Henderson is hosting a neighborhood public meeting to discuss plans for the proposed McCullough Vista Park from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the site of the future park, located at the northwest corner of Greenway Road and Mission Drive.

The meeting kicks off the planning process for the park, which is anticipated to become a rest point for cyclists and hikers from nearby trails. Park amenities may include tot lots, shaded areas, pathways, restrooms, bike racks and educational information, and public input is encouraged.

A portion of the funding for these projects has been provided by the Bureau of Land Management through the sale of public lands as authorized by the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA).

The City of Henderson has been awarded more than $235 million in SNPLMA funding for more than 30 parks and trails projects, which has helped the city keep pace with an increased demand for outdoor recreation opportunities in the community.
